Matthew Orwin’s 20+ year career in the golf, health and fitness industry has been strategically planned to meet the needs of the contemporary leisure business.
His focus has remained steadfast throughout the various positions he has held – to pro-actively drive the financial performance of the business and increase shareholder value.
In 2007, having managed properties for some of the leading multi-site leisure operators in the United Kingdom, in addition to sole-proprietor clubs, he took a one-year educational break to study a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Edinburgh.
This experience sparked his enthusiasm for continuing professional development through training. He identified a gap in the educational offering within the industry – that of practical training courses that directly applied to the day-to-day operations of a club business.
Matthew is also Principle Consultant with Golf & Leisure Marketing, a specialist marketing company that works with golf and leisure clubs to create and implement cost-effective promotional and advertising campaigns. The company also undertake customer and competitor analysis reports in addition to membership leaver surveys.
