The Junior Golf Alliance have chosen elearning specialist Promote Training as their online training partner ahead of their launch in September. Promote Training will be working closely with the JGA in releasing a number of online courses on coaching golf to children and young people.

Promote Training launched in April 2015, becoming the first dedicated eLearning provider to the UK golf industry. Since then, they have steadily grown their own library of training programmes and also worked with leading multi-site companies such as Burhill Golf & Leisure.

The new partnership will help the Junior Golf Alliance in their quest to support coaches in delivering fun, engaging and appropriate golf experiences to children and young people.

Neil Plimmer, Executive Board member of the JGA, explains:

The Junior Golf Alliance’s overriding goal is to raise the standards of children’s golf coaching. The essential ingredient to making this happen is education. Yet we know that many golf coaches are busy, especially at this time of year. As such, eLearning, where people can undertake training anywhere, anytime and at their own pace, is a very popular and convenient delivery format.

Promote Training impressed us with their knowledge of the golf industry and the intuitive functionality of their Learning Management System, through which our courses will be delivered.”

The Junior Golf Alliance will also be offering a number of day-attendance workshops throughout the UK. These will offer the opportunity for coaches to further develop their junior coaching skills in a more traditional learning environment.
